DescriptionLEGAL LIMBO is a documentary which investigates how women in Ireland live through the ordeal of the breakdown of marriage. In 1937 a new Constitution was adopted in Ireland which included a ban on divorce. From the first shot of an exchange of wedding bands, to a speech from the Pope combined with interviews with priests, barristers and a self-help group of working class Irish women, the video raises issues around the legal system, marriage and the family.
