Sarah Turner

Sarah Turner is an artist who writes and makes films. Her work spans gallery projects to feature films. Sarah has been an artist in residence at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, (1996), and a writer in residence in the Dept of English and Related Literature at the University of York, (2004). She has curated film programmes for the Tate and the Arts Council of England and the launch Programme of the LUX cinema (1997), and spent a lot of time teaching across Film and Fine Art. Sarah was Director of Fine Art at the University of Kent (2012-2014), and the Director of Research in the School of Music and Fine Art, (2012-2018). Prior to that, Sarah designed and led the screenwriting and moving image pathways within Film Studies at Kent. She designed programmes across both courses that spanned BA to PhD.

All of Sarah’s films have toured nationally and internationally and several have been commissioned and broadcast through Channel 4. She has had feature scripts commissioned by the British Film Institute, Film 4 and Zephyr Films and she is currently developing a new feature, Zone 3.
