Women and the Law Collective

Women and the Law Collective was a loosely formed video-making group formed in the 1980s to examine how the law shapes and constrains women's lives, working across immigration, imprisonment and economic dependence. Funded by the Greater London Council, the collective produced three films in 1986, each combining documentary testimony with a clear political analysis of the state's role in women's oppression.
