Grrrl​ ​Power​ ​Liverpool​ ​and​ ​Hannah​ ​Bitowski​ ​(formerly​ ​Queen​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Track)​ ​present​ ​feminist​ ​sci-fi​ ​film​ ​​Born in​ ​Flames​​ ​as​ ​part​ ​of​ ​Refuge,​ ​in​ ​conjunction​ ​with​ ​the​ ​DON’T​ ​TOUCH​ ​ME​ ​safe​ ​spaces​ ​policy.

DON’T​ ​TOUCH​ ​ME​ ​is​ ​a​ ​campaign​ ​to​ ​prevent​ ​intimidation,​ ​discrimination​ ​and​ ​harassment​ ​in​ ​public​ ​spaces which​ ​includes,​ ​but​ ​is​ ​not​ ​limited​ ​to:​ ​racism,​ ​sexism,​ ​ageism,​ ​homophobia,​ ​biphobia,​ ​transphobia,​ ​ableism etc.​ ​It​ ​is​ ​a​ ​direct​ ​action​ ​project​ ​that​ ​seeks​ ​to​ ​positively​ ​influence​ ​venues​ ​and​ ​creative​ ​spaces​ ​to​ ​undertake more​ ​responsibility​ ​over​ ​creating​ ​a​ ​safe​ ​space​ ​for​ ​all,​ ​whilst​ ​also​ ​engaging​ ​people​ ​in​ ​discussions​ ​to challenge​ ​and​ ​combat​ ​intimidations,​ ​discriminations​ ​and​ ​harassments.

Seminal​ ​film​ ​​Born​ ​in​ ​Flames​​ ​devises​ ​a​ ​dystopian,​ ​‘liberated’​ ​world​ ​led​ ​by​ ​the​ ​Social​ ​Labour​ ​Party​ ​that presents​ ​an​ ​all​ ​too​ ​familiar​ ​society​ ​of​ ​women​ ​as​ ​second​ ​class​ ​citizens.​ ​Grrrl​ ​Power​ ​Liverpool​ ​and​ ​Bitowski will​ ​invite​ ​audience​ ​members​ ​​to​ ​discuss​ ​the​ ​sexist,​ ​racist​ ​and​ ​classist​ ​themes​ ​presented​ ​in​ ​the​ ​film.​ ​The group​ ​will​ ​analyse​ ​contemporary​ ​brutalities​ ​and​ ​the​ ​oppressive,​ ​systemic​ ​structures​ ​that​ ​exist​ ​in​ ​everyday society,​ ​and​ ​how​ ​we​ ​can​ ​organise​ ​and​ ​​speak​ ​out​​ ​to​ ​eliminate​ ​them.
