A comedy dealing with society's refusal to recognise the contribution of housewives and thereby accept that domestic labour is “work”.
Early morning, another day: a woman frantically races around the house getting her children dressed and ready for school, breakfast and lunch boxes prepared, husband up and fed for work as well as several other chores – all at the same time!
The only dialogue appears at the end of the film – a child asks one of her children, ‘What does your father do?’, ‘He is an accountant’, he replies. ‘And what does your mother do?’,
‘Nothing, she stays at home’.
A humorous film which uses the clever technique of sped-up action to expose basic inequalities built into the traditional family structure, which lay the bulk of responsibility and pressure on women.
