‘Dissolution’ is a visual exploration of the psychological terrain of a woman as she undergoes a pregnancy termination. ‘Dissolution’ is one woman's personal journey through the abortion process. While it must always be a woman's right to choose, many women feel uncomfortable that their bodies – in the absence of reliable contraception and male refusal to take responsibility for that contraception – are the site of sacrifice. We are constantly having things done to us. Dissolution is a pro-choice film but highlights the complexity and the ambivalence that many women feel.
