‘Fighting for Peace’, a production of the Women's Film Unit at Film Australia, is a rousing documentary about the Australian Women's Peace Movement – past and present – told by those who helped shape it. Ranging from recollections of 84 year old Irene Greenwood whose peace activities go back to World War One, to the vivid anti-war images and protests of Greenham Common in the UK and Pine Gap in Australia, ‘Fighting for Peace’ provides history, analysis and popular comment on feminism and the politics of peace.
