‘Hell to Pay’ exposes the devastating effects of the foreign debt in Bolivia through the impassioned testimony of women from the countryside, the mining communities, and the capital, La Paz. The women describe their country's economic and political dependency and call for the unjust burden of the debt to be lifted.

Let the world know that poor people are not asleep. We're not ignorant, we know about the foreign debt. We know it exists in Latin America. But we want the world to know that we have opened our eyes. We know we never benefitted from this debt.
