Filmed in black and white, this evocative short is a poignant reflection on the passing of wisdom. Scenes shift between the central narrator, a mysterious yet dignified figure of noble African heritage; and a bleak urban landscape inhabited by Black women performing low status jobs. Yet despite outward appearances it is these women who embody the spirit of that cultural past by their storytelling – a hidden wisdom passed through the generations.
