This beautiful and powerful documentary tells the stories of the women who comprise the labour force of the Colombian flower industry in the Plain of Bogota. Flowers are now Colombia's third export industry and cut carnations and chrysanthemums of the highest quality reach the streets of Europe via the International Flower Market in the Netherlands. But behind the beauty of the flowers there lies a horror story of labour conditions in agriculture. Individual women's stories are recounted as representative of the thousands of women affected by poisonous insecticides and appalling health and work conditions.
