‘...I was an image of a woman. I was an image of men's imagination. I was a man made image of a woman. I am a woman. I am looking for an image for myself. I am looking for an image for my mother. I am looking with my sisters for an image for ourselves…’

I have found that in my video work I have a strong need to include my experience as a woman developing in a patriarchal society: a female artist in a male art world. The screen in ‘Man Made Images’ is a mirror to my consciousness, providing a way to reflect my transfer from a male defined woman to a woman searching for her definition.
