‘Slides’ is a continuing sequence of tactile films made in the printer from my earlier material. 35mm slides, light-leaked film, sewn film, cut up 8mm and 16mm fragments were dragged through the contact printer. The films create their own fluctuating colour and form defying the passive use of “film as vehicle.” The appearance of sprocket holes, framelines, etc., is also to do with structural concepts and more of a creative, plastic response to whatever is around.
