Tenosynovitis is a work‑related disease – a form of Repetitive Strain Injury – which is now the most common cause of lost working time for women and the third most common runner. ‘Teno’ tells a story of struggle for survival in a time of mass unemployment, of the changing nature of work in a time of technological advancement, of the pressure on women workers in the home and on the job to be quiet, say nothing and to keep going. It is also the story of the migrant worker’s struggle to be heard and taken seriously.
