Taking 100 feet of film shot at a children’s party, ‘That’s Entertainment…’ analyses and re‑examines verité documentary by meticulously slowing down, repeating and re‑arranging images.
The particular incident is receding in time at an increasing rate. As events impose and arrange themselves on the consciousness, through memory, the resulting effects are cumulative. The film demonstrates power relationships in action and asks: are women and children people too?
