The Impossible Decade
A highly acclaimed look at a ten year programme of work and agitation many women didn't even know existed. In 1975 the United Nations launched its international Decade for Women with three main aims: equality in family and society, education and training, work and pay; free Choice in marriage and family planning; full Participation in development, politics and peace.
However, in its assessment of what has happened to women in the last 11 years ‘The Impossible Decade’ finds that achievements have been limited and strategies need qualification.
