‘TimeMachine’ is a comment on the representation of history within the age of 1990s computer technology. Two different formats, both dealing with aspects of the spirit of Baroque, are juxtaposed: “romantic” Super‑8 film and glossy 3‑D computer animation. Vivaldi’s mandolin concertos mutate into a modern “House” music version. The only position we can speak from is our ever changing circumstance; our evaluations of the past will change accordingly.
