‘Visions’ is a hopeful documentary centred around four teenage girls, their expectations in relation to work, the sort of power and control they feel they have over their futures and how they connect their dreams with real-life expectations. Their naivete is offset by their awareness of racism and classism but these realities do not deter them from allowing their dreams to shine through. The film is interspersed with images of pop-up books, animation and music, contributing to the fortune-telling qualities of the interviews.
