‘Water into Wine’ draws on the collective experiences of 27 women, recorded over 13 lunar months. Visual imagery drawn from dream and waking experiences are mixed with extracts from the diaries and the letters of the women who took part.
The work is concerned with the use of the menstrual cycle as a measure of time; it explores the relationship between menstrual and lunar cycles, between menstruation and dreaming, and between menstrual and creativity.
