‘Women in View’ is an informative documentary about a group of women artists. It focuses in particular on the exhibition they presented in 1987 at the Brixton Art Gallery in London which was a combination of work made collectively and work by individual artists under the theme ‘how we see ourselves and how we can influence our space in the world.’ Interwoven with statements from the artists themselves, the video examines the difficulty in defining “women’s art” and explores the differences and similarities between the artists involved.
