Susan Stein (born in London, 1959) worked as workshop organiser at the London Film Co-op (1978–80). Susan studied BA Fine Art Film at St Martin’s (1979–82) and MA Environmental Media, at the Royal College of Art (1983–84). She taught various filmmaking courses and was lecturer at Newport College of Art BA course (1984–86). Various screenings include: Finding Her Voice through the Lens: Feminist Avant-Garde Films by Susan Stein and Others, September 2019, BFI Southbank. She worked as TV news camerawoman BBC (1987–2017) and covered many foreign stories, from the former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, North Korea, Gulf War, and so on. She was the winner of Panalux Craft Award (Women in Film and Television), 2017. She is currently working on two video projects.
